About Me
As a dedicated trauma-informed life and wellness coach, I am committed to guiding and supporting women on their journey of healing and personal growth. My holistic approach draws upon my extensive training and experience in trauma-informed practices, coupled with a unique blend of mindfulness, self-care techniques, and innovative methodologies. With a deep understanding of the impact of trauma, I provide a safe and nurturing space for women to explore, heal, and thrive.
I am a woman of Chaldean Ancestry and was born in Bagdad, Iraq. When I was 1 1/2, my family moved to the US. I grew up in Oak Park, Michigan—outside Detroit.
I grew up as a Jehovah's Witness in a religiously divided household filled with physical and emotional abuse. By 19, I had experienced 2 acts of sexual abuse.
I married at 24 to another Jehovah's Witness and divorced and shunned by the religion at 32.
For over a decade, I've explored the deeper layers of my inner healing through every avenue that called me.
My path to working as a coach started in January 2013 with a project I called Fit Nation. In short, I worked as a wellness coach and lived with families and single women worldwide.
I got to know these individuals from the inside out and helped them understand what was and wasn't working for them in all areas of their lives. As I connected with these women, they opened up and were very vulnerable about their lives, past trauma, and struggles. Since January 2013, I've lived with 52 families all over the world.
After marrying my husband Ben, a personal trainer and wellness coach, in 2014, we started having live-in clients. We lived in a two-bedroom apartment in southern California, and the extra room & bathroom was for our clients. We created a very personal wellness, life-transformational type retreat for individuals and couples. By 2019, we had worked with almost 50 clients from all over the world.
I am trained in a psychotherapeutic approach called Compassionate Inquiry and have over a decade of experience working with small groups and individuals as a Life and Wellness coach. I also have five years of experience holding private and small group plant medicine journies thru one-on-one work and in retreats. I'm immensely grateful for all of my teachers, past and present, who have helped shape my work. My offerings today are guided by my Intuition, my Ancestors, my relationship to Spirit, and time spent in nature.
I'm passionate about healing the disconnection to our most authentic selves and providing a safe space for people to explore that. True healing begins when we feel safe enough to connect to our intuition, gut instinct, emotions, and bodily sensations.
When we have a strong, self-accepting, and compassionate relationship with ourselves, everything in our life has the possibility of thriving!
I offer 1-on-1 coaching calls, plant medicine integration coaching, group programs, private plant medicine journeys, and retreats.
