About Vevian
My journey of healing has helped me break free from the layers of pain, conditioning, and trauma to reclaim my voice, inner peace, and purpose. And now I can help you do the same.
My Story
As a trauma-informed mental health coach, I am passionate about helping women release emotional pain, get unstuck, and rediscover clarity and inner peace.
My approach focuses on creating a safe and supportive space where you can address the wounds of your past, reconnect with your authentic self, and step into a life of confidence and alignment.
With a deep understanding of how trauma impacts your sense of self, I guide you through a transformative journey of healing and growth—empowering you to break free from what no longer serves you and embrace the life you truly deserve.
I am a woman of Chaldean ancestry, born in Baghdad, Iraq. When I was just 1 ½ years old, my family immigrated to the United States, and I grew up in Oak Park, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.
My childhood was shaped by a religiously divided household filled with physical and emotional abuse. Spending 3/4 of my life as a Jehovah’s Witness, I endured the weight of a strict environment, compounded by personal trauma.
By the age of 19, I had experienced two acts of sexual abuse. At 24, I married another Jehovah’s Witness, but by 32, I was divorced and ultimately shunned by the religion.
For over a decade, I’ve devoted myself to deep inner healing, exploring every path that called to me.
My journey as a coach began in 2012 with a project I named Fit Nation. I worked as a wellness and life coach, living with families and single women around the world, immersing myself in their lives. Over the years, I lived with 52 families across the globe, getting to know them intimately and helping them examine what was and wasn’t working in their lives.
This deeply personal work created a space where women felt safe to open up about their struggles, past traumas, and vulnerabilities. These profound experiences planted the seeds for my calling as a mental health trauma- informed coach today.
These profound experiences inspired me to further educate myself so I could help women work through their challenges on a deeper level. In 2020, I completed a year-long training with Dr. Gabor Maté to become certified as a Compassionate Inquiry practitioner. In 2023, I added another powerful modality to my toolkit, training in Internal Family Systems (IFS), a transformative form of psychotherapy. Today, my work is rooted in these approaches, guiding women toward healing, clarity, and the wholeness they deserve.
I began working with plant medicine in 2015, and this is where the deepest layers of my own healing unfolded. Through these profound experiences, I was able to access and release emotional wounds that I hadn’t been able to reach through other methods. Plant medicine allowed me to reconnect with my authentic self in ways I never imagined, helping me uncover clarity, inner peace, and a renewed sense of purpose.
In 2018, I began creating safe spaces for others to heal in this capacity using plant medicines. This has become one of the most rewarding aspects of my work. Since 2022, I have been hosting transformative retreats where women can immerse themselves in a supportive environment, explore their inner worlds, and experience the profound healing that plant medicine offers. These retreats provide a unique opportunity for deep connection, self-discovery, and lasting transformation.
